Adieu High School

Tomorrow is my last day of high school and it's weird to think that I'll hardly ever see these people who I've been with since kindergarden (some preschool) again. Taking time in between doing all of my work that I need to get done before leaving, senior-itis what can ya do? and reflecting on the past thirteen years of my life has been bittersweet to say the least so heres to high school! I'm definitely ready for the next chapter in my life.

I'll probably cry tomorrow.

Book Review!

I recently read Wildwood by Decemberists front man, Colin Meloy and his wife, Carson Ellis. Although it was a children's book I was blown away by the story and the characters, a good next book for those of you who love Alice in Wonderland and The Chronicles of Narnia, which pretty much means everyone. The other night I was on a date with a boy who had never heard of Alice in Wonderland and refereed to Harry Potter as "that science fiction junk" DATE OVER! This book was right up my alley and a great little read, of course by little I mean about 500 pages.

Why yes, yes there are pictures in my book.

Black Keys Posters

How could you not love the Black Keys? Bonus points for being one of the few cool people to come from Ohio reminding America we're not a state filled with corn and football addicts... we have other stuff too.

Kale Chips

I found the best way in my opinion to make kale chips. I'm addicted to these little buggars!

[source]
Ingredients:
Large Bunch of Kale
Olive Oil
Powdered Ranch Dressing or Sriracha

Directions:
Preheat oven to 325º. Tear the kale into pieces that look like they would be two bites (or however, I just like this size the best) avoid the rib! Toss in olive oil and sprinkle in however much ranch dressing powder you want, or mix in sriracha, I wonder if you combined the two if you could make some kind of BBQ ranch. Put kale in a fairly thin layer on a baking sheet, doesn't have to be perfect. Bake for about 15 minutes, or until crispy.

Lemons in Water Who Knew?

I know this is on a lot of other blogs but I have learned a lot of stuff today so here's a little link post...
[source]
Lemons in water may help boost your immune system, balance your body's pH, promote weight loss, aid  digestion, and clear skin. I think it's safe to say I'll be stocking up shortly.
 • Going along with our little fruit theme, banana peels remove heavy metals (i.e. lead, copper) from water.
• Lastly this über cool family that has no trash, that's right folks they're so cool I figured out how to use the umlaut for them (and figured out how to spell umlaut) I digress, really check them out!
