A New Keychain for You

I really want to do a DIY for you but my camera got stolen so I'm just going to describe the process.

I found this bag clip/ keychain thing at free people but once again I was amazed by the price so here's an easier way to make one!

Free People $38

Materials:
Old Necklace
Snap Bolt Clip
Needle Nose Pliers

Directions:
Cut the chain in various lengths and using the pliers pry open a link of the chain, it helps if you have a cheap necklace, like one from Forever 21. Attach the chain links to the snap bolt clip's base, you can buy one from a craft store for $2 or steal one from an old keychain. Attach a charm or maybe an earring with no match by bending the post around the chain, whatever you like! I wish I could show you mine, it's awesome.

BAM a $40 keychain free if you scavenge the house.

I Know This is Super Ambitious but…

…how freaking amazing wold it be to make one of these with all of your clothes? Getting ready in the morning would be one hundred times easier!

I feel like this is the closest thing that I could get to Cher's computer from Clueless.

Which by the way you can do on the XBox 360 Kinect. Skip to the 2:13 mark.

Urban Key Necklace

I was on the urban website tonight and I saw this.

It's cute but it's $24 seriously?! I have that exact same key from some handcuffs I got at dave and busters when I was little. It makes a great DIY but I don't see why anyone would EVER buy this. Save yourself the $24, even if you don't have any old keys laying around, we have boxes at my house, look in junk heaps at flea markets, once I found seven in one pile and the vendor only wanted a dollar for all of them. I love Urban to death but sometimes their products hit a nerve.

Terrariums!

I confess, I've been back from camp for a few days now (I got back on the 3rd) but I've been so busy getting my normal life in order (and researching for a new project) I haven't gotten a chance to write a post. Anyways, while at camp I was trailblazing, which is pretty much making new trails in the hocking hills for campers and hiking enthusiasts alike to use, while I was trailblazing we had to take all of the plants off the new path so I picked up a fern and a little almost patty of moss and I put them in my water bottle. I decided I was going to rescue these plants. When I got back to the lodge where the guards stay I found a plastic bag and wet some paper towels and put them in the bag with lots of air. After thinking about it I decided I wanted to make a terrarium. So long story short here's my terrarium inspiration.

I love the rustic look of these.
This would be a great way to recycle an old lightbulb

These mini terrariums are so cute!

These would make a really fun and easy DIY
The whimsical feel of this pendant is exactly
what I'm going for in my terrarium

HEY LOOK!

I made shorts which is really not that impressive but I promised myself I'd have at least three original posts that aren't recipies up by Saturday. So I got these as pants from Salvation Army for $2.50 they were way to short so I cut them into shorts and they are my new favorite pair! Seriously, I have been living in these shorts all summer. A great tip I figured out is buy pants a (European) size too large, I usually really like tight pants but I hate tight shorts they usually just wind up looking slutty. For example I buy my pants 26 and my shorts 27.

My Version

Best shorts EVER

For comparison, a pair from the website.
